Pyro 5

I would like you to bring back Pryo 5, of course for the new Windows programs and Macs. The purpose of this request is that there are a lot of us who just use it for very basic creating cd's and it was very easy to use. There are a lot of us that do not need all that other technical stuff as per other programs and just would like a one two three easy version like Pyro 5.  Please bring it back but updated.

would be nice if cake considered it as a complementary addin in sonar for burning, file conversion, basic audio editing etc. Similar gui, etc.

I'm still using Pyro Audio Creator 1.5, it works on Windows 8.1.  I think it is only 80 bucks and the MP3 encoder alone is worth the price of admission.

Hi Ben. I have it too but it's not installed. Looks like the last update for 1.5 (1.5.2) was October 2011. Other tools, including freebies have done a better job keeping up with OS changes, etc, IMO) I've owned and used many of the pyro/media creator family of products and while they always worked ok for me, they didn't for many users, and Cake never really seemed to give the programs a lot of attention. Small $ made a lot of support impractical I guess. I always felt that cake was missing a real opportunity among the sonar community to have "Pyro" available as a purchased/optional plugin option to Sonar or true red book burning, basic encoding, file conversion and even basic clip editing. Not a replacement for wave lab/soundforge or cd architect, but an economical/functional alternative to freebies like audacity/ CD Burner XP/ Express Burn, etc, that is better integrated into the Sonar workflow. Anyway, my 2 cents.

I have it, use it and like it. If I don't use it for awhile I have to re-install it for some reason, but it works just fine.
