Buggy snap-to-grid, or user error?

I've raged about this so many times alone during working that I finally want to ask: What's up with the snap function? Right now the problem is this: The "Measure" option ONLY works if I choose it from the context menu. If I choose it using a key shortcut, it shows "Measure" but snaps to whatever snap setting was previously used. I'm not using the Smart Grid option.

Another issue unrelated to the Measure option: I have a clip that I want to snap precisely to another clip's end. If I have Snap To Landmarks active (and for example Clips is ticked from snap options) and note resolution is disabled, it does not snap. (Tested also with Automation Nodes, does not snap.) Why? Am I misunderstanding what Snap To Landmarks means?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Snapping to landmark events requires enabling the Snap to Landmark Events button to the right of the Snap to Grid button. Make sure that's enabled.

As to the snap to measure keyboard binding, I can reproduce that issue here and have notified Cakewalk. Try binding to whole notes instead, which does work as expected.

Thanks for notifying Cakewalk about that one :)

But yes, like I mentioned, I do have Snap To Landmark Events button active.

I just tested with different snap settings; for example I unticked all but the Clips option, etc, but it seems like the Snap To Landmark Events function's Clip option is broken - unless I'm missing some logic here.

Which version of Sonar are you using? It works as expected here in X3e.

Remembered to check back here finally, sorry!

It looks like X3e fixes the snap to clips issue, yay :D Snap to measures still broken though.
