plugins don't save presets - only in buss!

I've just discovered something weird. I've seen it for months with 2 DMGAudio plugins - and I thought it was something specific to them (I'd had other issues with them and thought this was related) but now I've noticed that PSP Vintage Warmer does the same thing.

All these plugins work fine on normal tracks - but when you put them on a buss, they work fine when you set them - then when you re-open the project, they lose they're settings! They just go back to "default" settings.

EDIT - I forgot to add - the plugins are fine when you re-open a project. It's only when you hit "play" that the settings get zerod out!

Has anyone else seen this?
I can't think of any reason why a buss is different than a normal track. The whole reason for putting a plug on a buss is so you don't have to load an instance on a bunch of tracks.

Has anyone else seen this? Anyone got PSP Vintagewarmer2 (or microwarmer) or DMGAudio Equilibrium or Compassion running on a buss? I had given up using the DMG plugs on busses and just blamed them for a weird interaction with SONAR busses - but now a different plugin does the same thing :-\

I'm sure this will never get fixed if X4 is close - but I really hope this is fixed in X4.

PS - 64 bit Win 8.1, 64 bit SONAR, 64 bit plugs - VST2 (and VST3 for DMG)

Thanks...

Sorry - it looks like something wrong in my template project.

I created a new buss, routed all my drums to it, put the plugs in the new buss - and it works perfectly.
Tomorrow I'll replace the rest of my busses (to be sure) and then fix the template...
