I do not own it but it's had a very positive response. Pad monster springs to mind.

    Pros:
    Monster feature set
Just about everything can be modulated
    Very easy to use
    Loads of presets
    Great overall sound
Great price for something that covers so much ground

    Cons:
Complexity might still be off-putting for some
Some will desire a higher degree of analog emulation
No Macro performance controls (but you do get an Easy page)
    No user samples
Presets when modified are saved modified unless you reset them.
Sometimes after changing presets the synth would suddenly mute, momentarily.

Actually that comes from a fairly in depth review.

A friend of mine had the original Blue and I used to use it occasionally - I did like it but never purchased - I have not tried Blue II although heard good things - Blue II might be more persuasive about making me take a purchase decision, but unless it was at a very good sale price, probably out of my self imposed monthly budget (pocket money)!

You might be able to get a good price at KVR......although at the moment, it may be in high demand.

I don't really like to program synths.  Blue II is really easy to see all the controls and play with the settings.

    sounds are really great.

Rob programs great sounds that are very usable.

my fav synths are Omnisphere, Alchemy and Blue II.

lots of presets think there are close to 3000 out of the box, although a lot are variants.

    definitely a great synth.
