When I was in Alaska (four different times) I was hoping to see such sights. Never did.

The northern lights are the spookiest and most impressive thing I've experienced. I haven't seen such strong ones here in south Finland, though. The spectacular ones appear 600 miles up north.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Where are you living Soens? I wish that sort of thing happened where I live. One time I saw a massive green comet, but no one believed me.

It just so happens I live... on a massive green comet. OK, actually just North of the 64th parallel in the Golden Heart City of Alaska. But I did see a shooting star last night.

Here's some pretty good time laps from Norway. The images have what I call motion blur as they fail to reveal the sharp focus you'd see in real life, but they give you a sense of the motion still photos can't. You need Flash player to see it. @3:23 you're looking straight up into it. http://www.visitnorway.com/my-northern-lights

comet with 2 tails.... white one, obviously,,,,, and a light blue one above it at a close angle. This was quite a few years back on 35mm film.... from my driveway.
