If you mean all the tracks in a project, hover over the timeline until the cursor turns into a magnifying glass, then double-click.

No Craig not all tracks (I hit F on a regular basis which does the same as your suggestion) just what tracks are selected. Scoot you're much closer to what I want but I don't really want to hide the rest of the tracks I just want the selected tracks to fit in window (and then be able to hit F again to view all tracks). Is this an option or did I dream it?

Try CTRL+F after you selected. I can't try on mine, as I mucked this shortcut up somehow. I think when I was typing a name to a vst, but hadn't set it to take keyboard control, so sent Sonar a whole stack of shortcuts all at once. Something I should sort out really, as I miss F

I don't know if a binding already exists but there is a function in the Global Area called "Show and Fit Selection". I found it by searching the Global Area for "fit". Try binding it to the key combination of your choice.

Thanks Scoot but ctrl F switches them to the PRV looking option.

Thanks Steve, I'll try that and report back.

Thanks Steve but that does the same thing that Scoot suggested and hides the rest of the tracks. I'm hoping I can get it to fit the selected tracks and then hit F to see all tracks again. No biggie but was thinking I've done this before?

When you look at shortcuts under the preferences F = Resizes all tracks vertically to fit in the window CTRL+F = Fit Content "No biggie but was thinking I've done this before?" Me too, I'm sure this is how I used to do things, before it got cocked up.

The only workaround I can think of is to do Show and Fit Selection, then hover over the timeline for the magnifying glass and right-click+drag up to resize the track heights.

"I can't try on mine, as I mucked this shortcut up somehow. I think when I was typing a name to a vst, but hadn't set it to take keyboard control, so sent Sonar a whole stack of shortcuts all at once. Something I should sort out really, as I miss F" Well figured out what I did there, after sending Sonar a mass of short cut instructions, I must have tried CRTL+Z to undo, but actually hit Shift+Z, which sets the track view to Autozoom, making 'F' funtion slightly differently. SO now I have fixed it and found another useful function. All without starting a thread Also set up a ALT+H as a Unhide Tracks shortcut, so learnt something about setting up shortcuts too.
