VS100 Control surface under Windows 8

Just had to migrate to a new PC.  Cakewalk Windows 8 drivers (vs_100_win8d_v201 (1)) installed but wouldn't recognise VS100 (firmware v1.50).  Roland's website provided vs_100_win8d_v202.  This installed and then picked up the VS100 audio section (pb & record) just fine.  But no sign of the control surface section in Preferences or the control bar tab. Has anyone any experience of this or helpful ideas?  I know the VS series is legacy now, but I love my VS100, it's so cool for writing/composing and I should be desperate to lose it!

Silly me!  I had forgotten about the little yellow star 'add control surface button'. Working now. Blessed relief!
I'm still curious to know why CW don't point to the newer version of the driver (...202) that actually works.  It was just an afterthought to check out the Roland website.  I found it here: http://www.roland.co.uk/p...aspx/downloads/?p=1099

I believe the 202 driver was for Win 8.1 and the 201 for Win 8.  I also love my VS 100 and use it with my Octa Capture for a 12/12 I/O.  If you are curious, see this:

Win 10 Pro x64, 32Gb DDR3 ram, Sonar Platinum, Cubase 9.5, Mackie MCU Pro, Cakewalk VS 100, Roland Octa-Capture,  A 800 Pro, Carver M-1.5t amp & C4000 pre amp, various mics, drums and brass instruments.

    And away we go!
