A call I received earlier tonight

Earlier I had a phone call from an old guy with the thickest sounding New York Italian accent who said his name was Frank Rizzo and could I come over and help him get his rottweiler out of the piano. He said it jumped in there and wouldn't come out. I asked him if this was a joke and he said "You wanna get fresh with me tough guy? Wanna meet up?" I told him I couldn't come over and he says "This is bulls***. I don't have to deal with this."

So then I started making suggestions to help him out, and he responded to everything with "Absolutely not."
"Why not just leave him alone, maybe he'll come out by himself."
"Absolutely not."
"Have you tried coaxing him out with some treats?"
"Absolutely not."
"How about just reaching in there and lifting him out?"
"Absolutely not."
"Well I really don't know what else to suggest."
"This is bulls***. Are you getting smart with me? Wanna meet up tough guy?"

This went on for half an hour and so eventually I said I couldn't talk to him any more and hung up. He immediately calls me back and says "I don't know what happened there, either you hung up on me or we got cut off. This is bulls****. Are you going to come and help me get this dog out of the piano or what?"
"Absolutely not."
"This is bulls***."

I kid you knot. I had him on the speakerphone and my girlfriend was in stitches. I get crazy calls like this from time to time, what with running a dog related business and having my phone number online. I should really buy a call recording app.

THAT'S THE GUY! That is the guy I spoke to on the phone last night. The dialog, the voice, all the same. Did I just get pranked? LOLOL! I swear, that is the Frank Rizzo I spoke to last night. "He's wedged in there, I don't know how to get him out." That's him! Only there was a lot more, he said it was a Rottweiler puppy. And I don't think it was a recording because he was responding to things I said. Like at one point he told me the dog was afraid of him because he beat him earlier. So I asked him for his address because I wanted to report him for animal abuse and he gave it to me, 503 E5th St. I even called the 9th precinct.

Oh my oh my. Am I going to end up on the sequel to that record?

OK so more info. It turns out that this whole Frank Rizzo character & skit is the brainchild of a couple of pranksters called The Jerky Boys. I think someone probably had a bunch of samples from one of their CD's lined up and were triggering them in response to things I said. LOL! Amazing how quickly you can get to the bottom of these things on the internet.

That Indian Ropeman character must have just sampled the Jerky Boys for his tune.

Amazing how that came together. As soon as I read your story it reminded me of that tune. My friend had it on a compilation of Downbeat Breakbeat tracks in the late 90's, and would play it in the early hours. I didn't for the life of me think it would be connected to what happened to you. Quite surreal how things come together sometimes.

I suspect it was some YouTube wannabe comedian who had a load of Frank Rizzo splices up on a soundboard on his computer. I hope he got the part where I asked him if he could play "Chopsticks," lol.

So as of now, my girlfriend has no idea that it was a recorded prank call. So I think what I'll do is line up that track in a playlist tonight to listen to while we're cooking dinner. See if she notices.
