softsynth problem sonar 6

i`m currently using realtek sound card in sonar 6 and i`m trying to bounce my project to a single track but i cant get the midi into the track because its using gs wavetable synth, now i know your supposed to use a softsynth , butr when i try to insert a soft synth the audio engine button is disabled and i cant use the playback button, but when i remove the sof synth the playback button is enabled again, am i using the wrong settings or inputs or outputs? if someone can help me it would be much apreciated

    This should be moved to the SONAR forum, but the software is not giving me that option this morning.
