[Solved] Can you move a clip without moving track automation nodes?

Using Sonar X2a. I put a delay on a track (vocal for the chorus of a song) and automated a few parameters of it right near the end where I've pasted a clip of a particular line from the chorus. I now want to substitute/replace the clip with a different iteration of the line from earlier in the chorus, but I want all my automation nodes to just stay where they are in time, but every time I past the copy of the replacement it creates more nodes, and if I try to move the old clip, it moves nodes. Can't I just "unlink" clips from the nodes? (yet another thing I used to do easily and regularly back when I used Acid Pro).

AMD FX 6300 6-core 3.5GHz

Deselect "Select Track Envelopes with Clips" found in the Track View----->Options menu.

Cheers. I knew the option had to be there somewhere. Apparently I looked right over it too. I had looked at those menus, Googled it, even tried to search it here on the forums but couldn't find the answer. Much, much appreciated.
