Issues with Sonar X3 Producer after drive defragmentation...

A few day since, I had a fine tuned up Sonar X3 Producer working perfectly, until I decided to run a drive defrag on both the internal and external hard drives of my system (drives were I usually store the audio files generated from Sonar x3). In addiction to that, I think I also did a kind of drivers update all performed by the same program named "Advanced System Care" followed by a register cleaning with both CCCleaner and the ASC registry cleaner. The problem I'm facing now is that Sonar won't load any of the latest projects audio files (cwps). When I click on the open button in the Quick Start Menu trying to load one of the last saved files listed there nothing happens. If I perform the load project via the File menu, trying to directly access the files from the hard drive audio folder, the project start to load but after few seconds the screen freezes...one more click on it and it gets all white and the message " Sonar X3 Producer - Not responding" appears on the left top corner of the screen. I get no problems though with loading older projects file...saved some months earlier. I've already tried to restore my Windows 7 home (64 bit) to an earlier system restore / backup point but the only recent possible restore/roll back point available is the one been generated the day I performed those unlucky operations. This kind of restore didn't give any result and any older restore point generated from the Windows system backup seems for some reason, to have been deleted all the way back to March 2013. I'm starting to get quite desperate...what to do ??? Does anybody out there get a clue on this matter ??? Thanks in advance to anyone woud care to send a tip😳😱😒

Try opening the projects in safe mode; hold the SHIFT key while opening the project.

This thread is a good example of why the ol cliche "if it ain't broke don't fix it" is worth consideration and also why full OS partition imaging should be considered a must have.

Did you tick the "Show more restore points" in the system restore window?  It should show a few more.

Is Sonar the only program not working?  If so, you might try reinstalling X3.

Always make a restore point when doing PC Maintenance. If you did, then restore it back to before you did the PC maintenance
