recording a vocal track into sonar through a vst

is this possible with sonar x3? just got the new slate vmr bundle, WOW!!! steven slate said with the plug ins
low latency you can record into your daw using it like hardware, so to speak.... man, to record through the neve in the plug in would be awesome, don't know if it's possible though. i can get it to be on with the incoming signal, but it doesn't record the sound from the plug in, only the dry signal
thanks for any help.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to record the processed signal instead of the dry one? You can always apply the effect to the track after it's recorded; and with a fast enough computer, you can monitor through the plug-in if you want to hear the processed sound while recording.
