[CWBRN-30188]- MIDI Track Inspector Missing Patch 54

Patch 54 is missing when you have a 128 patch bank in an .ins file.
Patch 53 is the last patch displayed in the first column, the second column starts with patch 55. The rest of the columns are fine.
To reproduce:
1. Load an instrument definition file for a synth that has banks of 128 patches. I used Fantom.ins
2. Assign the def to a MIDI device.
3. Create a new MIDI track and point it at the MIDI device that uses the instrument definition.
4. Assign the channel and bank on the MIDI track inspector.
5. Click the arrow on the patch selector to display the patch list dropdown.
Expected result: All patches are listed.
Actual result: Patch 54 is missing in all banks.
This doesn't appear to be a display issue because 108 wraps around nicely to 109.

Just tried this using the instrument def for JV1080 and I am not seeing this result at all, all patches from 1 to 128 are visible.  Just as a matter of interest is 110 missing as well?

Nope, just 54. Column 1 has the None selection at the top which may explain why 54 is missing, the selection list occupies the entire space of the application. Perhaps they're calculating the number of entries before they insert None? I'm going to fiddle with the window size and see if anything changes.
Update: The selection list size is based on the screen size not the application size, I'm using a 1080p display (1920x1080).

Actually yes. I have another instrument definition assigned to a different port and it is missing the last entry in the first column as well.

I would be tempted to check the Master.ins file and see if they are missing there as well.  You will find it under

    Computer/local disk/Users/<username>/appdata/roaming/cakewalk/Sonar x<version>

You can open the file with Note Pad.

They exist in Master.ins for both definitions.

    Strange, bizarre and mind boggling.

Just as a matter of interest is all your software up to date i.e graphic drivers, Windows, .Net etc.  this is just me clutching at straws, which is actually quite tricky with furry paws and no opposable thumb.

When you examine the patch list under preferences>instruments>define are all the patch names there as well?  You will have to expand the list using the + sign.

I've moved this to the Sonar forum for further examination by the community. If we get a load of "me too" posts very happy to move it back...

You have to set it for this. No patches are missing its because it starts at 0.not 1.

You have to set it for this. No patches are missing its because it starts at 0.not 1.

All the patches are numbered in the .ins file and the numbers show up in the list, 54 is missing. The numbering starts at 001 for the Fantom and 000 for the the Eclipse (53 is missing). Note that this only happens with the patch select menu drop down, all the patches show up in the patch browser.

Hey TomHelvey, I'm actually seeing this on my end. The issue isn't with number 54 specifically, but with the last option in the first column. Notice that if you highlight the last option in the first column, and then press the down arrow on your computer's keyboard, the indicator will go off screen. If you press the down arrow again, you will see the indicator go up to the top of the next column.

Since I'm able to reproduce this, I'm going to move it back to the Problem Reports forum. I would recommend submitting a Problem Report form with specific details on what you're seeing and how to reproduce this, but make sure to note that it's with the last option in the first column, rather than number 54 specifically. We should be able to push this on to development shortly after you've submitted the form.

    Thanks!

Yes, the last patch in the first column is off screen. On my laptop, it happens to be patch 39 of 0-127.
