Bagpipes on the beach.

I am in Dubai and they are gearing up for their 43 National Day tomorrow. This country is 16 years my junior.

Out for my evening stroll I caught the sound of pipes and drums. It was a band of pipers in UAE national dress playing Scottish bagpipes.

Further along there were a group of fire jugglers putting on quite a show. Elsewhere artists of various nationalities were painting graffiti on wall sized canvases.

The big party is tomorrow. Should be fun.

What's the difference between chopped bagpipes and chopped onions?  Nobody cries over the chopped bagpipes.

J/K - Sounds like it will be fun!

What's the difference between and Ukulele and a Banjo. Ukuleles are quicker to burn.

Q. What's the difference between a dead snake in the road and a dead bagpiper in the road?

A. Skid marks in front of the snake.

Broken pencils are pointless.

It turns out the Pipers were the Dubai Police Pipe Band.

Seems someone in authority may also have a dislike for bagpipes. There two police cars parked along side were humble Porsche Panameras. I guess you need to be a Oud player to get to drive the Veyron

I know that area of the world still has capital punishment..  But bagpipes???  Isn't that against the Geneva convention?
