Bapu told me EZ Keys was the snaz
Bapu told me EZ Keys was the snaz, so I bought the EZ Keys Classic Electric on sale last week and had some fun yesterday. I also used my new Sonic Couture EP73 library with Kontakt 5 for the keyboard sound. https://soundcloud.com/mike_mccue/sun-day-best-demo My ommpa ommpa drum technique wasn't working so I tried to just lay down some sort of texture instead. The bass was a one pass. I play bass about once a month. I kinda like the part that came out, and my hand was gonna get crampy if I tried a second pass. I tried a few runs with the guitar but so far I have yet to make it through without clashing with the bass line. I guess it's the implication of playing over the extra chromatic colors I wrote with EZ Keys. I'm going to keep at it, and see if my guitar brain can absorb the arrangement, as it is now, and figure out how to compliment what's there.

Great job Mike! The sticks were slightly out front compared to the rest here on my system. I like the electric piano sound a lot. I could hear a nice bass in there if you can get it to happen:) Overall it sounds quite nice!!

I'm not big on listening to "demos" and unfinished works, but I guess I'm making exceptions today! this is nice, Mike. the drums sound like they're not in the same space as everything else to me. good stuff

I liked it - don't hear much "jazzy" stuff around these parts. As Beagle wrote the drums do sound like they're in a different space than the piano and bass, but I did like the piece. In the end though, I did find myself focusing more on the bass than the piano...

Hi Makke, Reece, Tom and Steve, Thank you for taking a listen! I've made a bunch of these type of quick run through demos in the past two weeks and I am struggling to come up with lyrics. It use to seem a lot easier. :-)

I like what's happening here! The bass is cool- I'm thinking a little more drive would help since it's more a solo instrument than one to ground the chords. Nice drums especially!
