New Synth coming from U-He - Hive

  • Very low CPU usage
  • switch Hive’s engine to different basic characters, on the fly (buzzword translation would be: Multi Synth Engine Technology™)
  • 1 to 16x unison for each of the 4 oscillators for “super” sounds
  • 2 main oscillators, 2 sub-oscillators
  • 2 multimode filters
  • Step sequencer & arpeggiator
  • 12 slot modulation matrix with 2 targets per slot, 4 envelopes (ADSR), 2 LFOs
  • 7 built in effects
  • Single screen interface

For me I am keen to see when Zebra 3 gets released seems to be taking ages!!

    Well, they've been busy with bazille and now hive I guess... the nice thing about Uhe is they do things awesomely! As for Zebra,  they did quite a few things in coming up with the Dark Zebra (I'd call it 2.5) which is totally awesome with the Hans Zimmer soundset and I think they've decided to start from ground zero on the successor, as it will NOT be compatible with Zebra 1/2/2.5... which is a big change from what we were hearing a year or so ago.
     
    It'll be worth the wait!

    Looks like this one is aimed well and truly at the EDM market. I wonder if its versatile enough for other uses?

    The little demo tune sure didn't do anything for me. Pumpin' supersawz! Rad!
     
    But I'd be surprised if Urs made anything that wasn't a Swiss army knife under the hood. Personally, I'm going to just patiently await the arrival of Z3 next year. No more new synths till then.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    as for Z3, Urs says "But of course Zebra 3 is going to be released before xmas. We just haven't decided which year."  I luv that guy!
