Orange Tree Samples Angelic Harp - NOW AVAILABLE!


We developed Angelic Harp in collaboration with Guy Randle of Rosewood Recording Company, who engineered and oversaw the sampling session. Angelic Harp is an extensively sampled 47-string concert harp, played by harpist Alex Bigney from the Celtic group Kirkmount.
 
We always aim to recreate the playability of the real instrument as closely as possible. For example, each string on the harp is individually modeled, mimicking the monophonic nature of each string. This allows you to soften loud plucks with subsequent soft plucks. It also prevents the unnatural, excessive tonal build-up that many synthesized harps exhibit when playing glissandos and repeated notes. The adjustable preroll samples capture all the subtle fingernail noises that occur before the main pluck sound of the strings, adding a lot of depth and realism to the harp tone.

    Quick question: How do I add this to my libraries on the left hand side with some of the other Kontakt libraries I have? Each time I try, it says Library Not Found.

    Unfortunately, as of now only Kontakt Player instruments can be loaded using the "Add Library" option in the library tab. Right now you have to manually load the patch, by clicking on the "Files" button, then "Load...".

    If it's of any help, Kontakt also has a quickload feature, which allows you to drag your favorite libraries into a list (which can be organized into folders).

    Quick question: How do I add this to my libraries on the left hand side with some of the other Kontakt libraries I have? Each time I try, it says Library Not Found.


    Native Instruments charges library developers a steep fee to make their products compatible with the free player and the Libraries tab in full Kontakt. Because Greg has elected not to pay NI this royalty, his products require full Kontakt, can't be added to the Libraries tab, and must be loaded via the Files tab.
     
    A trivial inconvenience to users, considering this is the main reason this library is $59/$99 instead of $199. It also means you don't have to authorize the library via the NI Service Center application - just load it up and go.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Gotcha. Silly but it saves us money which hopefully means many more sales for the developers.
    Loaded it into quickload and it works like a charm. :)
