Sonar X3 Upgrade problems
I've been using Sonar X2 with an RME UCX interface without issue. I recently upgraded to X3 and did a side by side install with X2. I can see all of the UCX inputs and outputs in X2, but I don't see outputs 1 and 2 in X3. The rest are all there.
In addition, the sound in X3 is garbled. Is there a technique to get X3 to recognize all the outputs on my audio interface so I can begin to figure out why the sound is garbled when using the same latency settings as X2?
Thanks

Make sure X3 is patched to X3e
http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013361/SONAR-X3e-Update
and make sure the interface drivers are up to date. IIRC there was an RME driver update a few months ago.

Thanks for answering. The RME driver and firmware are up-to-date, and I'm running Sonar X3e. I notice Device Manager shows two entries for all Analog inputs except "Analog(1+2)" which only has one entry. I'm not sure if this is significant or not?
Sonar X2 shows analog outputs for Analog 1. This is actually for 1 and 2.
Sonar X3 does not show Analog output 1+2 (scrolling does not reveal missing outputs). Interestingly, it also shows the Realtek drivers, which RME recommends keeping around.

Make sure X3 is running in ASIO driver mode in
Preferences > Audio > Playback and Recording

Thanks! I did not have it set to ASIO mode. It works correctly now.
