Color Presets for X3?

Hello experts,
I recently upgraded from 8.5.3 and was wondering if X3 has a Sonar 8 color preset. In the Help file it says: "You can also load any of the many factory presets, some of which duplicate the colors of earlier versions of SONAR." However I can't find where these presets are located. I have already gone to Preferences-> Color and spent time messing with individual color adjustments but I'm having trouble (and wasting a lot of time) getting something usable. I was hoping to just try out a bunch of presets. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

X3 has no SONAR 8 color preset. X3 uses a different approach to color. If you want extensive color control consider getting a copy Duckbar available at http://www.sonarmods.com/forum/index.php (registration required to download).

Thanks for the reply, it doesn't have to be a SONAR 8 preset but maybe something close? I only see 4 presets (Bright, Dark, Mono, Normal) surely there must be more somewhere? Thanks for the Duckbar link, I may try this out even though I think it strange that one would have to use a third party utility for something like this. I was actually hoping Cakewalk had a thread where users could share their color schemes for X3. I will continue to play around with color customization. I've imported a 8.5.3 session into X3 and I'm having trouble changing the color of the clips (not the waveform) For example I have an audio clip on track 2, to change the color of the waveform I click on 'Audio Tracks 2,12,22...Foreground' but to change the color of the clip I don't see: 'Audio Tracks 2,12,22...Background' I'm somewhat baffled. I guess I'll keep at it, thanks again.

Cakewalk would have been better served by removing the color customization tab from Preferences, in the X series.

But that would remove the option to do any color customizations. I do quite a few, not just meters that look like lime sherbet with vanilla on top

Does anyone know how to change the color of clips? In the help file it lists the screen elements that can be color customized, there it shows: Clip Background. However I can't locate this element in the color customization box of X3. Am I missing something?

I find the quickest way is to select the clips where you want to change either the foreground, background, or both, then click on the Clip tab in the Inspector. There you can choose foreground and background colors.

Thank You Mr Anderton!! You just saved me from pulling out the rest of my hair, and trust me I don't have much to spare. This is actually a good way to customize colors of clips as new tracks are added. Very helpful.

Thanks again.
