[Solved] Can't seem to configure Antares Harmony engine Evo for midi control

To access midi control over Ozone2 harmonies it was easy... just configure it as an instrument and add the midi track in which it comes up as an output option...

I've tried to do this with Harmony evo for an hour and the plug never shows up as an instrument  option in the browser so I can access it in the midi track.  Anyone doing this?

Starting with X3 it should not be necessary to configure any effect as a synth. If the plug-in supports MIDI I/O the VST2 or VST3 drop down in the standard plug-in header should be enough. The drop down contains options to "Enable MIDI Input" and "Enable MIDI Output". Once enabled, the plug-in should appear in the appropriate drop down in MIDI and instrument tracks. If the options are unavailable, the VST scanner did not detect the capability in plug-in. Some plug-ins have configuration settings in their options to control MIDI data generation.

Wow!  That was easy!  just tried it in vst 3 and yep there it is in the midi output selector.

scook... you come to my rescue again! Despite needing to get some shuteye, I now have to try it out!

very grateful....and glad I don't have to make it an instrument anymore...

ok, after rebooting from a hard crash everything working great now... both Izotope's Nectar 2 and Antares Harmony Engine Evo work fine after putting them back into "effects"catagory and doing what you said...

    Now to compare them....

    Again, muuuuucho thanks, scook
