Tascam 16x08 Driver... Help
Hi to everybody  Just got an US-16x08 interface but can not find in Tascam site the drivers... can somebody share knowledge if drivers are really available? Thanks ...

Your right, when you follow the links from Support it takes you to the download page, but it is the same as the overview page. Who ever does the web site has screwed up. E mail Tascam and tell them, It must be a brand new product. Example this is what you get if you choose the us1641 http://tascam.com/product/us-1641/downloads/

Thanks... Appreciate you have confirmed that there is no download link... Already emailed Tascam...
We will see... If you google us-16x08 there is no mention about this issue... how the rest of the people that bought
this hardware installed in win 7/8 ?... or they are using it with a Mac ?... do not know...

Update... Up to this moment (09:24 10/Dec/14) there is no answer from Tascam... and no driver in website.

I've emailed my contacts at TASCAM. Stay tuned. They just did a driver and firmware update for the US-2x2 and US-4x4, so maybe one for the US-16x08 is forthcoming.

Okay, here's the official statement. Apparently you're not supposed to have the unit yet:
We found a problem with the US-16x08 Windows drivers just before shipping. We want them to have the same level of stability as our drivers for the US-2x2 and US-4x4, so our warehouse and dealers had been instructed to hold shipments but a few got shipped out anyway. There isn't an estimate yet for when the Windows drivers will be completed.

Thanks for your assistance in this matter. .. I get my 16x08 in Amazon... Another seller was Adorama... in total I think they sold about 20 units.. It is good to know that something is being done... It is time to drink a cup of coffee/cocoa/tea and relax... patience is a must... Cheers

But what sucks is your dam lucky we have Craig here. Otherwise I'd call that very pour customer service. There are 19 others out there right now probably having issues and are sorry they bought it, If lucky all of them are Mac owners.
They could have posted this info on the web site. Or if you were a good boy and registered the product, they should have e mailed You.
Focusrite used to answer emails and even posted answers on forums but that seems to be backsliding too! These companies need to keep the customer service top shelf in this day and age. Word gets around quickly if you don't.
I don't think there's any reason to read all the time on forums " I emailed customer support and it's been a week, so I'm asking here instead" Is it a trend to let the customers do their own troubleshooting among themselves?

Update...
I registered my unit first thing upon arrival... up to this moment I have not received e-mail from Tascam regarding
my request for support (TASCAM Operational Support Request has been received) detailing my problem. I agree that Tascam should have posted a notice in their website regarding this issue. Thanks to Mr. Anderton now I know that I must wait... otherwise... I will be googling the web for days... Now... lets see if the unit live to my expectations.

I'd contact where you brought the unit and make sure they will take it back 90 days from now if the drivers
don't pan out for you.

When I contacted TASCAM their first reaction was "What?!!?? Where did he buy this?!? They're not supposed to be for sale!!" and they seemed quite taken aback. So Customer Service might not be aware of what they're supposed to do yet. I presume the reason TASCAM didn't post something on their web site saying drivers aren't available was because the unit wasn't supposed to be for sale. I'll let them know that they need to talk with customer service about what to do if support requests come in. TASCAM has been making the right moves with their new interfaces, so I'm sure they want to make sure something doesn't fall between the cracks. As to being lucky I'm here, I'm in the wonderful position of working with all the Gibson Brands. Part of what I do is provide a liason between companies and customers...not exactly customer service, I guess, but you can definitely consider what I do as an added dimension to traditional customer service. Me attending to an issue is really no different from an "official TASCAM person" attending to it.

I see... Tascam believed the dealers did not sell and ship the unit... well that happens, shall not... but happens... That is one of the reasons why they did not posted the drivers.... (that make sense)...Is good to know there is somebody in direct contact with Tascam monitoring the forum... See you around...

The version 1 drivers are now available on Tascam's web site and the unit is shipping. I received mine yesterday (2/16/15). I was disappointed that there is no DAW software with it. It was advertised as coming with SONAR LE, which I was hoping to use to get an upgrade price for Producer. No such luck.

I'm still waiting for someone with a new Tascam unit to do a loop back test of the drivers.
I want to see if they truly are writing better drivers now or if it's just hype.
I really do want this to work as I do like Tascam stuff.
That's a bummer about the missing Sonar Disk. I got one with a Roland A 49 which allowed me to purchase X3 Studio for $99 and now I have Professional for another $99. That's only $200. So that disk is worth chasing down.

Bob that's is a new one you tested and your results seems much better if not good enough for sure, The one I'm really after is the UH 7000 as it looks like a excellent addition just for the the pre amps. But you can't run 2 ASIO interfaces and I'm not about to give up my currant drivers for something less.
I see where some use it and connect with the SPDIF which is an option.

The 16x08 is supposedly an 8in/8out standalone preamp box when the USB cable is disconnected
