I enjoyed the composition and found it engaging. On the mix I would be slightly tempted to narrow the field a little and also bring the balance of treble up on the left. When I listen on my DT100's which ever ear I had the right channel on always seemed to be biasing the sound to that side. Just my furry eared observation. Thanks for sharing I did enjoy

Thanks for listening guys, yep always improving. It's probably the triple tracking and varispeed on the strings your hearing John...I actually used the Nomad winding plug too, still learning :) Ben

You are improving nicely Ben! There is a picture in this piece. It's not all notes, it's got meaning and feeling.

Curious- what's the time signature? Especially the intro, I have trouble determining it haha Cool sounds though! As far as synthesis, this is a far bit better sounding than general midi, so good on you. I feel the highs could be strengthened a bit, and a little more stereo width overall, then wrap it up with some percussion

Hi David the piece starts in 11/8 morphs to 5/4 jumps to 4/4 back to 5/4 then to be silly 11/16 with a bar of 10/16 for silliness. Finally last riff is in 4/4 just to make sure the listener understand I understand meter ;-) And then back to 11/8 just to end with symmetry.
Thanks Ben.

Thanks guys. Am writing the 4th movement as we speak. Its a minuet type peice. In 3/4 and it is the joining movement. It contains one of the motifs from Fuguetta 2 Waiting at the bus stop for you. But transposed up to fit the key signature of f# which is the key of Fuguetta one Reflections of Love. This is movement one.
Ben.

I agree you are improving every time, Ben. This was my favorite so far - I loves me some odd time signatures. Yet it still flows.

It felt a bit too long to me. The parts were cool though, and I felt like I could get into it more if it were more dynamic. Hard to do with our home studios and synths, I know, just sayin'.

Thanks for listening guys, sorry I haven't done much listening to your stuff lately...head in the clouds, with compositions and thoughts about music in general. Actually Tim...it is not hard to put dynamics into compositions and all opinions are welcome, so no need to apologise. I'm slowly putting in different dynamic parts, coming from a popular music background, I'm not use to wide dynamic ranges and so I am having to learn this, plus the orchestral Notion 3 software, music theory, composition and on it goes. As Mozart and Beethoven did, I too will only improve. The 4th movement, Dance of Love is complete, and it goes even further in terms of skills presented in this track. I'm about to start 5th movement, which will be wind, strings and possibly some sort of guitar sound. I must admit I play most of this stuff in these days, on the Yourock guitar. Ben
