Solved! No Transport movement ( no clock..) in record.. plays back fine

Me Again...

I've done something ( maybe ) and have no clue ( other than adjust the volume of my metronome).

I Arm a track,,,    click clock..   but no movement on the time line.. ( essentially no transport if you want to call it that )..  dating myself here.

What the heck????  Always when you're in the middle of something.  I've looked high and low for some search that resembles this ?

Also how do I mark a thread as "solved".... or does someone take care of that.?

Thanks

What would have triggered my clock to switch to audio from internal.. ???

I'm never at a loss to find hitting some keys when typing  on the keyboard,  starts a rapid chain of events and I am left wondering what it deleted, added, or changed

If you are referring to the Playback and Record Timing Master settings in Preferences > Audio > Driver Settings, they can get reset if the device they are set to is unreachable.

"Internal" will only work for pure MIDI projects driving external synths. If there's any audio in the project, including having the audio metronome enabled, SONAR will (and should) automatically reset the clock source to Audio. "Internal" refers to the PC's system clock which doesn't have the resolution necessary to be used for audio playback and recording. If there's any audio in the project, I think you'll find that the setting is now back to "Audio" again, and what fixed the problem was SONAR re-setting everything when you closed Preferences.
