[Solved] Cakewalk X3 Studio: How do I add effects to a frozen synth audio track ?

Hi,
Forgotten what to do here...  am I doing this right ?
Using Superior Drummer, I have an existing midi track for a song. I freeze the synth (the midi track) to start all the corresponding audio tracks to be generated. 16 new tracks are generated in Sonar (17 if you count the midi), and these are filled with audio according to how I've set up the mixer in SD. Now I have individual audio tracks for the specified drums.
When I try add effects to the snare track, for example, I get no effects...  part of the Freeze process disables the effects bin.  So how do I put reverb on the snare track ? Do I have to use a mixing buss ?
Question 1) This seems very weird...  why would the effects bin be disabled ?
Question 2) Is there some other way to transform the midi track into audio tracks ?
Thanks much !

Effects can be frozen with the track. It is possible to re-enable the FX bin by right-clicking the FX bin and deselect "Bypass Bin" or add effects to buses.

I think including the FX is the default - should be in the Freeze options dialog.

If there were effects on the track before it was frozen, and those effects were frozen along with the track, then your best bet is to un-freeze the drums and re-freeze with the "include fx" option unchecked in the freeze options.

If there were no effects on the track before it was frozen, simply right-click on the fx bin and uncheck the "Bypass" option to re-enable the fx bin. No need to unfreeze the track.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Bounce To Track(s) will permanenly render the synth track to audio.
Mute and/or Archive the MIDI track if you need to work on it later.
