(solved) Can't move MIDI to bar 1

Hi all,
This is probably user error but maybe you can tell me what I'm overlooking.
So I have midi data that starts on measure 2, beat 1.
I later imported an mp4 vid (that is dropped in at m. 1 beat 1) and want to pull all the midi to start on the same beat.
If I hit select all and try to drag to the left it won't budge (snap turned off) but to the right is no prob.
Also I can drag each individual clip to the left with no issue.
I figured it must be the video that was keeping me from moving it (since it starts at the beginning) but even with the vid (and audio) deleted it won't move (even after closing the project and reopening).
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Randy

I guess you missed what I wrote in parenthesis above...I already did.
I can move them all individually but I'm curious what would cause this.
Thanks bud,
Randy

Try selecting all with your mouse instead of ctrl+a and then move them.

If you're selecting all from the first measure on, you can't move it to a -1 measure start. Select all from measure 2 and you can move it to measure 1, etc...

Maybe you cannot move empty spaces to the right if they are right next to the first bar. Here is a similar thread I believe:

When I do that I can move it as far as 01:02:143

Not in this case, if I hit ctrl A my cursor has been at m.2 or beyond.

There must have been some data there that I didn't find because when I just did a ctrl a then dragged the 1st measure and selected everything I could in Delete Special options (including delete hole) it all moved to m.1/beat 1.
Thanks again very much everyone,
Randy
