What PB/Rec settings do I need for M-audio Firewire audiophile ? -

I sent all of my midi tracks out to hardware midi and recorded the output for audio conversion.

I did not do anything to my addictive drums track that used a midi drum track - it is at this point already playing back audio, correct?

Now I have a slight "mismatch" between my recorded audio tracks ( which all seem in sync ) - just my drum track is out of sync - or maybe all of the audio tracks are out of sync -

After combing through all the treads i can find ( and there are several active now ) - some of the terminology and making settings is just beyond my grasp.  ( I've really only "seriously" used sonar for about two weeks ).

I am grasping that "soft synths"  will have timing issues ,  correct?

Not sure what to get into here.  I come from a NLE video background and afraid to just go making changes in config files, etc in properties without really understanding what I'm doing.

I've read the documentation but still really unsure of screwing something and being worse off - chasing the wrong culprit between always using all midi in the past, and now converting to audio to use plaback in real time as backing track. - ( on the suggestions from a previous post where I lost all of my midi configurations when put my files in my laptop and figured i was good to go...  suggested to convert all to audio for final playback / performance. )

I'll keep looking in the meantime after I upgrade this laptop to latest update ( laptop is still on orig. release but updated desktop when working on project and saved to thumb drive and moved to laptop for rehearsal if that is an issue?? )

Thanks
Wayne
