Audio Dropouts

I keep on getting this crackling noise when I playback. Even with Asio4all and the buffer size as high as possible. It's really annoying,
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? It happens when I'm around 15 audio tracks or more.

Without knowing what your interface is, computer specs, etc. no one will probably be able to help you...

    Hi LucianoSee,
Instead if using ASIO4All, use only the ASIO drivers from Focusrite: http://us.focusrite.com/usb-audio-interfaces/scarlett-solo/downloads.

This should fix those crackling noises.

asio4all isnt a good idea. Is it the same with the normal asio or wdm drivers?
also are you running win 7 or 8?
do you have a wifi card installed?

Also try increasing the IO buffer size to 256/512 or 1024 and see if that helps prefs>audio>sync and caching

I had this problem before I even used an external interface. So I don't think those ASIO drivers would really help.

You really should use the manufacturers ASIO drivers or try WDM/KS
And also disable the wifi card when using DAW as its knownfor this kind of problem

ASIO4All drivers are a somewhat generic drivers whereas the manufacturers ASIO drivers are dedicated to the interface, and have been tested out for this usage.

Seeing you have the Focusrite Solo, AND the fact that Focusrite makes excellent drivers for all their products, this should always be your first option. If there wasn't any audio interface for your laptop, then using ASIO4All might have been your best option.
