Matrix style midi editor

One thing I like about the matrix is that it loops right? Samples are matched. But when adding a midi pattern into the matrix its more about editing the pattern right on the track instead of editing a looped midi kind of like how ableton live does. It would make the matrix so much better then what it is now. And it would also give artists the possibility and affordability of having a live performance feature in their sonar experience. :)
