Best "slo-mo" vst/ (DAW)?)

Hello,

I'm going to do some slo-mo sounds from 192 kHz recordings, and I spent my first hour on finding best way to do this, and my questions to you guys are:

1. Stretching in Sonar is possible only 4 times every iteration, so I have to render a wav file and put it back to Sonar to stretch it again (I'm talking about CTRL+left click stretch, other way is process menu, but still only maximum 4 times) . But anyway, this standard algorithm (no process menu yet) gives me some doubts, cause I slowed down some very short click 320,000 times and it still sounds like little bit longer click (I mean not preview but already rendered file), so I'm wondering if this algorithm is precise enough. I will try other options from process menu later, but I guess it only changes some harmonics or just a sound of a specific kind od... sound ;)

2. Is there any VST or software (besides Paustretch http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/ ) that I could use?
