Ring Modulation and Oscillator Sync\Slave mode in Z3TA+2, how to do it?

Hello,

I'm trying to hear how ring modulation and oscillator sync\slave mode sound in Z3TA+2 and I can't seem to get it to work. I tried putting a blank patch on Z3TA+2 by initializing it, turning on two oscillators, and then putting both oscillator's groups into RING mode, but I get no sound by doing this. I tried the exact same process, but trying out SYNC mode as well and get no sound.

What am I doing wrong? The manual doesn't describe this in detail, so I'm missing how I'm supposed to set this up to get it to work. Please help.

If you put an oscillator in any mode other than ADD, you won't hear its output, as it will become a modulator. So leave your oscillator 1 on RING and switch the second one to ADD. Note that in RING mode the osc1 volume will control the volume of osc2 even though it is an inaudible modulator.

Thank you for the explanation Spencer, this is definitely what the manual was missing.

If I put a oscillator in RING, it will modulate all the other oscilators that are on ADD?
