Sonar X3e & Kontakt 5 Multi Instrument Solo problem

Up until recently I've used one instance of Kontakt 5 for every instrument. That method caused a big cpu load and I had to run 512 buffers on my audio card to eliminate distortion. Which causes a large audio delay. I lived with it by freezing everything as needed. However, I've just successfully switched to using one instance of Kontakt and multiple instruments within that instance thanks to posts here by John and robert_e_bone.

Everything is working like it should except for one issue. When I hit the solo button on a midi track, all the audio track solo buttons also light up. Only the track I pressed the solo button on plays, so it's just a visual thing. And also, when I solo an audio track, all the midi track solo buttons light up. But again, only the track I pressed the solo button on plays. Has anyone run into this and know the solution?

Thanks

Jim

Yeah - it seems like some sort of glitch - don't know where the fault lies - don't recall it being an issue though.

I am hoping you are able to run with an ASIO Buffer Size of around 128 for recording.  Is this the case?

Not sure where to start with this one - usually, the only time *all* the solo buttons light up is when you press the solo button from within the toolbar. Pressing the solo button on a track will light just that track.

Thanks for replying guys. It is an odd one. I only have the one project I created with this method so I'll start over from scratch and maybe it will go away.

Bob, yes I was able to go to 128 buffers now. No audio crackling or delay. Much better. Thanks!

I get weird solo buttons lighting too when working with instances of Kontakt with multiple loaded instruments.  BUT, it doesn't seem to cause any troubles.

Glad your buffers are behaving for you now, by the way. :)

Ah, thanks Bob. I created another project and it did the same thing. But it's not a big deal. For what I do,
I can mute tracks and acomplishment the same thing. Thanks again. Have a nice holiday!
