I just upgraded my one plugin to 8.9. These people never quit working! I must say Melda is coming out with some interesting plugins lately.

    Cakewalk, Harrison Mixbus 4, Waveform 9, ADK intel i7 2600 3.40 ghz, 8gb Ram, Win 7, Presonus Audiobox 44VSL.

They have Really been working on updates! I wish they would come up with a selective installer for people who own several of their individual plugs so it would be one DL and one install...

That would be handy, but unfortunately impractical. Other vendors accomplish that by forcing you to download their entire catalog for every update, even if you only have one or two of their plugins. It helps them sell more product because then everybody's got demos of all their offerings, but it's a nuisance having to download gobs of stuff you don't need.

The alternative is an installer that's also a downloader, so you check off the items you want and it fetches them for you. The downside to that approach is that you must have an internet connection to your DAW, and not everybody wants to do that.

A middle approach would be a downloader that you can run on any computer. It would prepare an installation package for you that you can then move to your DAW and run. But I've not seen anyone implement such a solution yet.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Good info and points!

I should just be Thankful that Melda keeps their plugs updated as they do.  IIRC I read that Vojtech was considering setting up individual accounts on the website that would contain a persons purchases and make the update/purchase process quicker. That would be Cool.

MDrumleveler seems like another one of those make up a problem and then make up a fix type of products.

I wonder how successful the photo edit software business would be if the industry was based on a premise that everyone takes bad photographs?
