I have turned off my cakewalk plugg ins somehow they appear but grayed out, no sound

whey I apply affects to my track like my z3ta+ it appears and opens up, but as it displays I can already tell thay the name is grayed out and it is inactive even though I can adjust the settings nothing on it works. When I open it as a synth what ever changes I make get automatically deleted and resets it-self automatically, nothing stays when I press stop or if it's on a loop its resets as soon as the loop starts up again. How do I turned it back on, I must have used a short cut key Like Control L to convert to loop, can anyone help please.

 Thanks I was able to use the short cut keys to turn my fx on. Any ideas why I can't keep any of my settings in z3ta+ when using it as a synth, I was able to before but not now for some strange reason.
