so dissappointed in cakewalk now

no login or logout buttons on store page?
none of my videos are on my products page.
my expansions are not in my products page.
no scroll bar on "select a country" when creating my account on my iPhone 4. ( and for god sake, put the united states choice back at the top of that list. not with the "U's". is the U.S. NOT your best buying country?)
no shopping cart?

this launch must have been behind schedule and made live because of corporate pressures, and not obvious logic.
seems poorly thought out.

I see we haven't received anymore updates after X3e, but, still a ton of bugs.
I'm guessing the next update will cost $200.00 (X4)

I sure hope this is not a preview of what is to come from the new Gibson cakewalk.....

Hang in there - I just happened across this.

1.  Some folks definitely fell through the cracks with the store.  You do not have enough posts to be able to send (or receive I think) any Private Message, or I would suggest that you send one to the Cakewalk folks to get them to get you fixed up.  Since you cannot send/receive a PM yourself, I will momentarily be sending a private message to a couple of the Cakewalk staff, asking them to help you out - and I will include the 'permalink' to this thread so that they can post here to let you know things are back to how they should be.

2.  X3e has been the last update released for Sonar X3, but is actually quite stable and well-regarded.  I am HOPING that you can post your issues (one per each thread please) in the Sonar forum, so that we in the forum can help you get to the bottom of the issues and get you running smooth.  I ask that you post each issue as a separate thread in the Sonar forum because that way it keeps the issues from getting intermingled and difficult to follow, and also because the Sonar forum is the best choice for getting some assistance with whatever your X3 issues are.  The Store forum is the right place to post your original problem, and hopefully that will get addressed by the Cakewalk folks right away (they have been quite happy to expedite folks with Store problems.

And, Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Thrilling Thursday to you. too. :)

I have had a horrifying time with this new store/login. I have every problem that you have and more. Less than half of my stuff shows up. I own 2 copies of Producer, it only shows 1. On the old store it showed all 30 to 40 items I own. Now it shows Producer, listed 6 times, Zeta+ 2, Pro channel Limiter twice and PC4K expander. No videos, or any of the other purchases I have made.

Hi All,

Sorry for any headaches, for this precise reason we have still left http://www.store.cakewalk.com available until all the ownership data has fully migrated.

We know it's a PITA, we have 20+ years of registration data that is migrating so it may take a few more days until everyone's accounts are fully synced up.

Just been to the store.
Added item to buy, continued shopping.
There is no obvious way to then view my basket.
Had to "buy" a random item, which then took me too my basket... so I could then delete that random item and buy my original choice.
WTF!!!!
Not very user friendly at all.

Checked my account page for my previous purchases.
Some items are there, but there's loads of stuff missing.
Not impressed.

Had a major headache getting the log-in to this forum to work a few months ago.
Now the store page has been "upgraded", it too is a headache from the start.
Come on Cakewalk, what's going wrong at the HQ?

I LOVE my sonar X3 producer and all my previous versions, Plugins, add-ons, specials etc... Never had any major issues. I even purchased  copies on steam just so I could have my stuff any where I wanted it. Seems crazy to purchase the same thing twice but when on sale (even full price) you cant beat SONAR ! So I own producer from the website with just about every offer they ever had plus purchased it all on steam sales. I think that's dedication (or crazy). I don't touch my pro tools anymore. I also own all of their partnership add-ons, GR, AD2, melodyne etc... etc... etc... I do not even see any of the partner offers on the new site. I also love my 3 Les Paul's. I hope that this new ownership works better than what is shown here. You had the same problems with the forum logins months ago. It was so bad that I could not even get my account to work! and now the same with the store. At least now I can post in this forum. Lets use the same dedication I have to your products with these issues. Thankfully the old store still works. Sometimes something that just works is better than new and pretty.

The old store does indeed work.
Some of the prices in the old store are better than the new store!
Go figure that one.

When I go to the old store it does in fact list all my old purchases, but the prices do not match the two emails I got that offer producer for $79 upgrade!!?? And it is over tomorrow, so I guess no upgrade for me. The lowest I got was $179.

To get the upgrade price you will need to use the new store.

You can get the SONAR X3 Producer Upgrade directly from here: https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Login?ReturnUrl=cart:150823 by logging in with the same account you use for the forum. If you do miss it just give us a ring and we can take care of you.

I'm having similar issues. I can't migrate my account. One of the staff is dealing with it via PM for me but will probably miss the upgrade price.
Until now I've never had any problems with Cakewalk so can't really complain, there is alwasy teething issues, but it is frustrating.

Is everyone still able to access the old store at the link :   http://www.store.cakewalk.com   ?

  • I used to be able to till probably yesterday.
  • But now the link always takes me to the new store which has a fresh look but which I am partly frustrated by as I cant get to see my cart.
  • Couple of items that I had in my cart on the old store are not accessible now !
  • Many of my previously purchased items don't show up on my product list.
Now all this is very painful. Willy, could you please provide some help. I really need to access my old store and my cart to purchase selected products. How do we get to access the old CW store ?

Is everyone still able to access the old store at the link :   http://www.store.cakewalk.com   ?

No - it was taken down at roughly 1:30 PM EST Today. There are big changes to VAT laws that start on 1/1/2015 and since our old store does not support it we have to take it down. Sorry - this isn't something we can be flexible on it has to come down.

Couple of items that I had in my cart on the old store are not accessible now !

Sorry for the headaches, unfortunately you'll need to re-add them in the new store.

Many of my previously purchased items don't show up on my product list.

As of 5:13 PM EST there are only ~14k records that have not finished migrating so there is a slim chance that yours are in there. They should all be completed in the next ~2 hours. If they're not in there it is because:

a) You may have registered products with a different email address
b) You may have had multiple store accounts with different email addresses
c) You created your Cakewalk account with a different email address than the one used for your old store account.

Either way - all of the above can be corrected by clicking that feedback button on https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Products  and letting us know any prior email addresses you may have used or registered with.

Now all this is very painful. Willy, could you please provide some help. I really need to access my old store and my cart to purchase selected products. How do we get to access the old CW store ?

Sorry, unfortunately access to the old store is impossible. If you're still stuck don't hesitate to call us, we're closing soon but will be open on Friday. We'll honor any offers that expired today if you were stuck.

Sorry again for the headaches.

More of my previously purchased products which were missing are now beginning to show up on my list in the new store account but still some to go. I guess it will get there once the migration is complete.

Dear Mr. Willy Jones,
Wishing you a Happy New Year.

I used to purchase earlier logging into old store with mailed and password.
Now I have created this forum ID with another mail ID as the old one was not accepted. I had purchased a product which is correctly shown.

But presently Store account requires userID and password not mail ID+password, I cannot access the old one.
And I don't remember I had created any user ID. How can I retrieve.

I am sending you a PM, if you please can help me out.
Regards

Willy Jones - you have helped me through some really tough problems ... I want to thank you for that...

I'm replying to this thread because the foolishness with this data migration has cost me a lot of money this weekend.

No one in the corporate structure will give a flat crap about that ... I need to access my LONG list of Cakewalk purchases because a computer went down ... we decided to remodel and upgrade ...so now with all workstations disabled I cannot load SONAR X3e or any other Cakewalk product because data migration is not moving along as planned...

When is this supposed to be fixed?

Interesting.

They would have to have access to the original person's email address to validate anything. Once the data is pulled into a single account it can't be moved (unless you work for Cakewalk). So you would also need access to the new account details. If people are "buying" accounts then they're doing so by sharing their personal info with strangers. Not only a shady thing in terms of privacy, but you'd also be saying "I forfeit all of the great services that Cakewalk has been giving me over the years, such as free downloads, free tech support and outstanding upgrade pricing most of the rest of the industry can't even touch."

Wow - that's pretty low of some folks - Cakewalk trusted people to act honorably with the license agreements they agreed to when installing the software.

They've been extremely busy (read, it seems a lot of folk are having problems) and it's been the winter holiday season.
I would give them a week, then maybe drop one of the admins a PM.
