What's your Christmas Story of 2014?

Even if you don't celebrate you could still have a story to tell.

Mine of course was the ability to see Huxley (again) for four days up to Christmas Eve and then again on Dec 27th before he was on the road home (with Mom, Dad and his older half-brother).

Oh yeah, and the gift of IK Multimedia group buy entrance fee. Thanks to all who participated. Very heartwarming gesture.

I had a wonderful Christmas with the family (our favourite time of the year). The good lady was non-stop cooking food/baking goodies for the whole month......much appreciated by us all. My sister in-law and hubby also joined the 6 of us for a quiet/peaceful (except for the little ones) Christmas.

Only sad news is my dad would have turned 83 today since he passed away last month, and mom is having a very difficult time after 53 years of being together..........especially during the Christmas holidays, but life must goes on.

On the bright side, my little girl Leoni turned 1 on the 27th and we had a wittle B'day party for her (she got to eat a cupcake all by herself for the 1st time.......she only managed to eat about 1/2).

my band played our annual Boxing Day gig which is in our guitarists living room every year. The place is always packed and a great time is had by all.
This year we had the police come round and make us pull the plug at 10pm.
The worst part was that the police had reports of 'excessive noise' - they could at least have said 'loud music' - we're not THAT bad.

Great name for a band "excessive noise".

I spent Christmas Eve in a small room with 3 gigantic dogs.

I learned that wild goose meat is very gamey, and my Mother in Law doesn't like it. We'll be having that again next year then.

Our kids weren't with us for the first time on Xmas, so it was just the wife and I at home. It was a very peaceful day with a great meal. I spent most of the afternoon playing my new guitar while watching tv, while the wife surfed the web looking for the perfect destination for our Spring vacation with the kids. It's looking like a beach house rental in the Florida Keys. I can feel the warmth of the sun already.

I worked between 8 and 13 hours each day except Christmas day (where I took a 6-hour "nap" then had an excellent meal and evening visiting my mother).  Weeeeeee...

Well, My dear wife bought her big drummer boy (me) an alesis DTX7 kit.
All I had previous to that was a drum rack and what pads I could stick to it.

Not much but it would lay down tracks.
Not I have a full kit.

I did the acoustic kit thing but recording it under 9' ceilings caused lots of phase issues and drum replacement. My old tunes done with an electronic kit sound better so I'm back to that now.

Christmas eve we did a candle light service with tea light candles in a Dixie cup (I don't know I'm just the drummer there). Anyway story goes that someone's dixie cup caught on fire that night.

We'll likely do something else next year.........
