Midi Controller/ACT question

I finally (well did not spend too much time in the past) figured out how to setup my Edirol PCR-800 to work as controller in Sonar.
Pure bliss is to get one knob for the jog, play, pause and plenty other useful buttons.
But... the sliders and rotaries, that is another story. I would like to disable them from controlling volumes, pans and others.
If by accident you touch one, then suddenly you change a track level/pan without even noticing it.
Is there any way to disable just the rotaries and sliders from a control surface?
