Purpose of Multiple Surround Sound Busses

What is the purpose of having multiple Surround Busses? It seems like I really only need one. When I go to each individual track for assignment to surround it looks I can use the same bus. I can assign each track anywhere in the surround field by using the same bus. Am I missing something?
