hmmm....ok......I'll just give ya my two cents on the mix... it seems a but sizzly on the top end and the bottom end seems bloated...the vox way was back in the mox.......maybe thats what you were shooting for but the hi's were really etched.... cool beat...

I agree with pogue, though I think it's completely tinny - I can't hear any bottom end or mids for that matter. Sounds like it has a HP filter on it.

The vocals may be to loud as stated but only slightly. Other than that the mix is good. I agree with you. Humanity should learn how to behave.

Thanks for the feedback as thats what I was looking for...I was trying to find someone to mix my music but that proved difficult. So this is my first attempt at mixing in an untreated room. The old adage if you need something done... It pushes me to be a better person. Guitarpima & drma It could be the monitors im using KRK VXT6 they do pretrude the vocals a bit but if I learn from it and push it back for the next song it will work out...Least I now have something to reference. James thanks for letting me know but I was looking for feedback so I can grow and this is an open and honest community whether popular or not they give advice. Shaun

This thread has been merged with an existing thread for this tune. On the tune it's self I would have know idea what to say other than thanks for sharing.

You are right there Joshua...I was trying to set the midrange but it sounded too tinny so I took it down a bit which affected the bottom end. Yes there is HF on it but its something I can look at and work with. Thanks again James...I know I put it up before. I was looking for advice seeing that it is my first time mixing. Thanks for letting me know though! The vocals I can work around and bring it in to the mix a bit more...Most songs i listen to these days the vocals seem to be right out there with the music sitting back a bit.

I think it sounds OK for a first pass Shaun. Seems to need a defined kick and snare to hold down the groove, it's kind of skittering around. That low boingy thing is a bit distracting after a while, what is that, drum machine toms? I have fond memories of the 'Rude Boy/Ska' revival in the early '80's, used to like the Oxfam suit jacket and skinny tie look.
