Forest Of Eldor- Fantasy
If you think of elves in the forest I have done my job here :)....trying out some new Christmas toys! No midi programming here. This is all original played into the DAW composition. https://soundcloud.com/starise/forest-of-eldor

I really like this piece a lot. I could definitely hear this in a movie or soundtrack of some kind. Nice work. (I left more on Soundcloud.)

New toys you can not tempt us with tales of new toys and not mention what they is. Nice tune as Clint said would go well as a soundtrack. Thanks for sharing.

The vocal is great! I love it. I would love to know how you got such a beautiful sound, that seems distant, but still present and the note transients aren't there...it's like she's just sliding to notes but in a good way...wow. Mix & stuff wise, I feel like the composition is a little conflicted. There's a lot going on - seems to me like there's a lot of good parts but they aren't totally in concert to lead you to the focal point...for me, I want the voice to be the focal point, but I find my ears jumping from the strings, to the voice to the horns? Just a little too much all at once for me - but the composition is excellent.

A lot going on for sure but it's all good. Very pro sounding (to my ears). Yes, as mentioned, a backdrop to some video/animation. The vocal adds so much "theater" to the piece - great job.

This is very nice Tim. Pleasantly drifting and melodic, and it builds very gracefully. Perfect choice of sounds. I'm just heading to the forest for a long walk, I'll keep an eye open...

You did your job well, took me to just the feeling you described. This indeed would make a great soundtrack to a Trilogy movie or the opening sequence to a video game maybe. Very good recording/mix. I'm impressed you did all of this with no midi involved. Is that an actual singer or one of your new toys? Whichever, very well done and very enjoyable, thanks.

Very nice production. I love the ambiance and textures. The mix is spot on. You are very talented. I wanted to here a tamborine and deep tom. Reminds me of the visit I made in Ireland to a prehistoric dolmen.

Good stuff, Tim! Really dreamy vibe yet still has a solid ground. Nice textures throughout. Though for me the tune invokes a lot more than just the elves.

I owe all of you an apology for taking so long to get here and reply to all of the great comments on this music! I don't take this kind of support lightly...and this forum is unique in that there are usually quite a few responses lately to material posted here. Things have just been crazy and this is the first opportunity I've had to get back to this. This kind of feedback is invaluable to making a song better and I really appreciate everyones comments. All the best to all of you!! Kakku- Thank you! Clint- Thanks! I appreciate the SC feedback too! Wookie- Thanks for your comments! I used instruments in Komplete and a library called Shevannai ( voices of elves) made by a company called Best Service. the pogue- Thank you! Makke- I appreciate you listening and commenting on this! ruralrocker2010- I had thought the same thing Joshua, that the song is missing a main focal point. It doesn't really have a strong underlying theme. This is something I'm addressing in another project I'm working on now. Even orchestral and cinematic themes usually have a stronger focal point. Crit noted and appreciated. I'm not sure I could change the structure of this...but for future reference I'll be looking at that more seriously. There is a harp motif happening and I guess this is as close as it gets to a melody line which is kind of weak. Mannynyagain- Thanks for listening and commenting. Theatrical and cinematic were things I was aiming for.Great! jamesj123- I would definitly watch out for those hobbits if you go into the forest ;) Thank you for listening! rscain- I am glad that this evoked the kind of mood I was hoping to evoke. If I could attract the attention of video game developers that would be really cool! I used Shevannai- Voices Of Elves on this. Thanks! drma173- Much appreciated! Rimshot- Man maybe we could get together on rhyhms some time. I would have liked to add rhythm to it. Thanks for your comments! whack- Thank you! War drums...great idea! Guitarpima- Thanks for your comments! stevec-More than just elves...is it hobbits too? :) Thanks! thegaltieriebrothers- Thanks! gusrogers- Many thanks for listening.
