Sonar X3e ends unexpectedly

Ive had two instances where X3e ended unexpectedly when I was:
1. playing with the plug - in on a track. Only one track was recorded
2. Connected a USB Akai KB controller and Steinberg Interface

The error I remember says something about an IRQ error, then it goes away quickly. Could not capture it in time.

Has anyone encountered anything similar, with any fixes?
Im eager to start working on this new platform as it is an upgrade from 8.5 on my old computer.

Have you updated all drivers on the machine to Win8.1? I remember when updating to Win7 that updating drivers (for everything) to the new O/S was very important. Manually updating Windows is also important for O/S fixes.

It should have updated everything but I will look into that. Thanks mettelus

After researching it, it looks like I need to do what youve suggested. I'll update the drivers for the realtek audio

A check online shows potential for either device drivers needing updating or BIOS issues that may require updating (be careful, and I would try updating device drivers ahead of looking at flashing BIOS - to be careful).

Sounds like a painful afternoon ahead. Hope it works out quickly for you,

The latest RealTek HD drivers should clear that. I have seen that error before myself.
