automating effects parameters

hello:
 
im an x3 producer user and have a question that i hope folks can clear up for me. i am using several compressor plugin instances, each deployed on a different bus, but all need to have the same settings. if i change the threshold value, say, on one compressor i need the change to be reflected in the same way on the others. i have been using the boost11 and waves l2 comps.
 
my question is how i can group particular parameter controls across these compressors (e.g., threshold, output, etc.). i don't see the "group" option available on right-click and i'm struggling to understand how i might do this. any help would be greatly appreciated.
