New to X3, bit rate question

Hi,
I've installed X3 Studio, latest update etc. The window at top shows 44.1/16 bit.  Driver settings shows 24bit, but it's greyed out (only choice possible). My interface is a Boss BR-800.  It's a new computer and new install, just purchased it yesterday. I'm not sure where the problem is, any thoughts? Thanks.

Windows 8.1, 8 gigs ram.

The grayed out value in Driver Settings is playback depth. Record bit depth is determined by Preferences > File > Audio Data > File Bit Depths.

I think the BR-800 may only offer 16-bit when used as an interface.  As a stand alone recorder, I think it will do 24 bit.

Thanks. I'm fairly certain it's the opposite: 16-bit as a recorder, 24-bit as an interface. It's working fine now in Sonar at 24-bit.

You may be right if its showing that - been awhile since I used mine.  Sorry for the confusion.
