New one up on my Soundcloud page...
It's called You Have The Power. Makes particular use of the Chaos Engine in Stylus RMX. https://soundcloud.com/doghouse-riley/

Very nice mix. It has a huge wide sound that works well. I love the melody that plays in the beginning.

Ooooh me like. Want a criticism? OK, I think the song needs a bridge, or some other musical idea introduced somewhere, to justify its length. Or you could drop out one of the repeated sections toward the end. I very much get the groove, very much approve of the lyrical content, very much appreciate your mixing job, which lacks for nothing. I'm a big fan of Thomas Dolby, some INXS, and even David Gilmour, and your tune put me happily in the company of these. nice job!

Thankee kindly to all. I watched the Plugin Guru video tutorials on Stylus RMX over the holidays and included much of what I learned in the percussion track on this tune.

Cool tune, Pal. I like the lyrics + vocals and the Guru groove with the little glitchy thing happening. The mix sounds very clear and polished. Edit: PS... Skeleton Crew is a trip.

Wow, what a great mix! You really know how to make a song pop. Cool vibe and percussion effect on this track. Regards, Dan

very cool tune I really enjoyed it!! ok now w/my production hat on. that lil effect you are using (:07 and :08) throughout the tune is a bit too loud in the mix IMHO. It's a neat touch but quickly becomes a bothersome and gets in the way of an other wise smooth and cohesive mix....I'd pull it back a bit in the front end of the tune so it gets the limelight but then even further pull it back in the tune so it become part of the overall landscape and not a punctuation mark throughout. Second point....I would have liked to hear your vox w/less of that grainy radio effect (for a lack of a better term). You've really got a great tone going on here and it's a shame to have it pigeon holed by that effect. I definitively "get it" where adding that (small vox) effect to a tune that has such a wide dynamic range gives the main vox some type of separation (which I done on a few tunes) but for some reason I really wanted to hear your vox on the same level at the rest of the tune.... Great job overall and as I said...I enjoyed the ride!!

Cool groove. Agree that you could use less lead vocal effect even though it is good the way it us. I like the lyrics. The feel and arrange works well. I think the buzz jabbs are way too loud compared to the rest but I like them too. I am listening on speakers and not cans and medium loud at that. It's really good to hear your music. The keys are right on.

Thanks again! Of course the grainy vocals and robotic delay answers were intentional, hence subjective. Ditto the buzzes...although the reason they were mixed as loud as they were was two fold. First, they are part of a general Chaos Engine setting in RMX...so a bit hard to isolate and control...and I wanted them to be loud accentuating the "wake up" vocals...like an alarm clock. Will listen again with suggestions in mind:-)
PS...my wife HATES the buzzes...but I love them. Ain't life wonderful?
