Waves Gold Bundle and X3

It appears one of my plugins from the Waves Gold bundle do not appear in X3. One of them (the reason why I bought Gold) is Ultra Pitch.  It's not just Sonar but Reaper, FL Studio and Live.  It only shows up in Tracktion and Studio One.

do you have the folder where Waves Gold is, set at Preferences  / File / VST Settings / VST Scan Paths ?
have you rescanned it and you see Waves come in the small scan-screen wile scanning ?
if Waves is 64 bit it needs to be in Program Files, if it's a 32bit the Program Files(x86).

Waves plugins do not load like most other plugins. A shell plugin is installed and this is what needs to be in the scan path. Other files in the installation process tell the shell plugin which individual plugins have. Been authorised for use.

Another point is that if you're talking about Sonar X3 then Waves will be loading the VST3 version which is installed to the Program Files/Common Files/VST3 which is not only the default location for VST3 plugins it is the only path and therefore can't be changed. It's part of the VST3 spec.

So a bit depends on your setup. As I'm on a mobile device I can't see if you have any details in your signature.

Found the fix.  The Wave shell Vst was an older version C:\ProgramFiles\VstPlugins. I copied the newer one from the Waves program files folder.

I'm developing a bitterness towards Waves installers. There's no flexibility in how they are installed. It seems if you get a new plugin you have to make sure all previous plugins are checked in the installation or it will remove them.

Yes, but that will only catch you once, and what you have already installed remain checked by default, so not really a problem, you just check the new one
