X3 update Crashing

I inquired on here yesterday on here about a update for Sonar X3 update and got the link for update the X3e Patch and upgraded. Now after X3 is running for about 20 minutes the "record" function stops working. When I shut X3 down it will not reopen. When I reboot the computer, it comes back on and says it has recovered from a Crash. This keeps happening every 20 minutes to an hour or so. I am trying to stay calm. Any one know what to do here?

Many thanks,

Perfect number of guitars formula: Current number of guitars + 1 more guitar = Perfect number of guitars.

Did you look if there is some setting in Sonar wrong, I mean mainly in the buffer or latency settings? I think you could try restore your Windows to a previous state and then download the patch again just in case and then apply the patch again. Was there any error code or did something go wrong when you updated Sonar?

Hey that is a great idea, a restore to previous date. No error code at all. Was laying down a guitar track and I noticed when I hit the record button, there was no wave signal as i was playing and it was going fine a moment prior. I though it was a new glitch so I shut down x3 and that is when i realized x3 would not reopen. when i started the computer up, that is when i realized that x3 had crashed, i saw the blue screen of death. I will check the buffer but I am not that savvy with computers.

Please update to the latest drivers and firmware for your MAudio interface:
    http://uk.m-audio.com/support/drivers

If you have a BSOD it's likely a hardware issue or software that is related to your drivers, the Sonar update may have brought out the issue into the foreground.

As this is a USB interface you might also want to go to intel autoupdate webpage to install the latest chipset drivers, and get the latest BIOS for your motherboard from the manufacturer.

Finally if you haven't run Windows update in a while you should (also install most optional updates).

    Always back up!
Please note X3E is a very stable update.

    Thanks...
