X3 studio and X2 producer plugs

I recently upgraded to X3 Studio, I was running X2 Producer for a couple of years.  I also wiped my PC so I don't have X2 installed anymore.

In X3 Studio, there's no compressors in the ProChannel, which I used quite a bit in X2.  If I do a custom install of X2, can I install only the Prochannel modules, and maybe TruPianos?  Will they then show up in X3 Studio?

Thanks for any help

When you go from version to version, plugins you used to have may or may not survive ... especially if you wipe the drive.  Anytime I upgrade Sonar or the OS, I use Microsoft's Richcopy software to copy the entire harddrive to a USB harddrive, and keep that around for a year or so to make sure that anything I want is still {potentially} available.  I also use Richcopy to keep a current (purged) copy of c:/Program86/Cakewalk and the C:/Programs/Cakewalk folders where all the plugins live.   Some of the things that disappear are actually useful, and it sucks when they go poof.  Methinks you are in Poof-land.

Thanks Greg.  I tried it and had to install the X2 program (minimum installation) to get the prochannel modules showing up in X3.  TruPianos - no go, it said it's licensed for X2 only, but that's no biggie, I have lots of pianos in Komplete :).
