I needed new thread for clarity-Help Please
I thought I had it all figured out but can someone clear this up for me (and some others I would think) I am an always upgrader-so yes I have x3e Producer So, 1 year after I buy the upgrade to platinum for $149, say, January 31, 2015 with the membership. When January 31, 2016 rolls around and nothing new is available I must pay $149 again? Sorry, it's not so obvious to me. Thanks

It'll actually be $199 the next time around. The $149 is an intro offer for X3 Pro users.

Your 2015 $149 payment gets a non-expiring license to SONAR Platinum and 12 months of updates. If you elect not to renew in 2016, that is your choice. There is no requirement to pay any more to use the SONAR Platinum and 12 months of updates purchased this year, you just will not get any more updates to the product.

The renewal is for updates in 2016. Everything in 2015 will still run in 2016, there will just be no more updates.

Not sure but I think $149 is introductory. I think it is raised to $200 the following year, but not really sure.

You don't HAVE to pay the $199 and can continue to use what you have... BUT if want to continue to receive the updates, which may include the next version, then YES you will pay the $199... Hope that helps...

It has been mentioned by staff that the promo $149 may expire in February. Usually promo expiration dates are pretty soft. And there is nothing preventing CW from providing a promo price next year too.

Sorry, but I feel like there is one 'danger' in this system. If the year's last updates are buggy then the users may feel they are not receiving a full stable product and feel forced to continue the membership in order to get the product enough bug free. On the other hand a year is a long time so the possibility of this happening is pretty slim. Also can those who have no access to a credit card buy Sonar with monthly payments?

I would like to know if 'bug fixes' will be available to non members after the first year just not 'new features'? For example if a 'new feature' is introduced in month 12 of subscription and it is bugged then the only way to get it fixed is to renew your membership?

So when can we pay for the latest version? I tried last night but it seems as though nothing is available to purchase yet. Is this correct?

Updates of any kind will only be available to users of the current product (aka active members). It is no different than updates after X3e and the new version of SONAR, X2a and X3, X1d and X2, 8.5.3 and X1....
