A cool Portable case design

I get sale flyers from a computer retailer called NCIX.
This caught my eye this morning. I was going to replace my laptop I use for my Solo gigs but I'm thinking this would be more future proof and would also give me the power to use Sonar as a live performance tool.
Right now I just play wave recordings via Win Amp. It's bulletproof, but I would really like to go back 2 decades and use MIDI live again. Mostly to control effects per song.

I then would need a small monitor that could mount on a mike stand.
I'm going to price this out as a build based on an i3.

Use the right components, and that mini-ITX machine will blow away any laptop you can buy/build.

That's the plan, I have 2 old 2004 Laptops and my 2011 Asus Netbook, all run XP. I do all my web browsing on the one laptop and the other is my backup playback machine. It sits in a case and never comes out. The Netbook is my main playback rig but I also use when traveling for email  etc.

They are good testament to how reliable those old Toshiba and Dell Laptops where. They all have new hard drives and upgraded RAM. The Asus now sports a 240 SSD. All are Solid & dependable but of course slooooooow. I'm only playing wave files live so it's not been an issue. But It would grand to have a portable system for both live recording and getting a little fancy at gigs.
You just gotta like a desktop rig with a handle...
I think laptops are a thing of the past. A tablet is a better item for portable now.
