Install Directory for Platinum using CC3

I installed Sonar Platinum using CC3, and it automatically installed onto my C: drive without giving me an option to choose another drive/directory.  How do you install the program onto another drive?

Looks like you can go to your account in the store and click on Sonar Platinum and it crates a download link.  You could download and I assume it would install more like previous versions with the option to set the install directory manually.

Yes, I found some of that stuff last night when I was playing with the CC3. Click on the little gear box in the upper right corner and you can change the path settings. Ewps, nevermind, it's just the vst settings. I can let you know in a week :)

Actually, you can change the default download folder just as Tom suggested.  If you go to the Settings cog in 3C, look at the bottom section titled "Command Center" you can find the Download Path field wherein you can change to your desired folder location.

Ummm that is JUST the download path for the installer, not the actual install path.

True the OP is questioning WHERE the Actual program gets installed, its a default and appears you cannot change the default path.

I went through all that. I initially installed it on C via Command Center, but I wanted it on my D drive. I removed Platinum, then as mentioned in the quote above, I went to my Account, then Products. Right at the top is Connected Programs or some such name. In there is Platinum. Click on Platinum and you'll see a red download button show up. That has an installer with the usual Advanced button to select a path to install. It installed just as fast and smoothly on my D drive. I'm satisfied!

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

I went to my account, clicked SONAR Platinum and no red download button. I've tried it in Firefox (latest version), Chrome (latest version) and Internet Explorer 10. I do not have room on my C: drive, but have plenty elsewhere and MUST install to another drive. When I look at the network traffic with Chrome's developer tools, it is failing when trying to call a service with a 400 error - invalid request.

The only thing worse for me than having to wait for my code from JRR shop. Now I have it and cannot install! Argh!

The red buttons are show in the Cakewalk Command Center, not your store account. There should be a link above SONAR Platinum to download the Command Center.

Is it advisable to install C3, (for updates, etc.), even if you're going to do the 'old style' install on the main program?

    Thanks.
