Support has usually only been available for those on the current version but I've never known any Sonar user to be refused tech support. I'm sure you'll be OK.
While we're at it. There is no subscription. You still can buy a licence to Sonar in one full annual membership payment that you own. Now you also have an alternative to pay monthly which of course puts the onus on you to pay your membership per month as you're getting the full software package upfront. After 12 months you own that software package as well as the one you get right now when you get the new Sonar version of your choice.
